Marvel’s Dual Head Ring Saw featured in MSCI White Paper

Marvel was recently featured on Metals Service Center Institute’s White Paper for our innovation in ring parting evolution.

MSCI continually features new product offer launches and Marvel is proud to be recently featured.  Introduced last year was Marvel’s new Dual Head Rotary Parting Saw (DHRPS).  According to Christopher Roberts, a District Sales Manager through Saw Services of America in Los Angeles, CA, “This new saw has achieved material usage reduction by requiring shorter primary rectangular rings forgings to produce the same number

The dual head concept is the response to the inherent reduced cutting rate of band saws.  By allowing two heads to saw simultaneously on each parting ring, the removal rate is effectively doubled in the footprint of a single machine and chuck.  Another benefit of the second head is a more efficient profile but is normally avoided in single head parting due to chip buildup in the cut path and re-entry into the blade/material interface as the ring rotates. of parted rings while generating “ground-like” surfaces and close tolerances at significantly improved cutting rates and lower power consumption.

Marvel’s new Band Saw Technology will now be the preferred method of cutting for high temperature alloys.  This new design and approach to cutting results in reduced materials, labor and overhead cost-of-goods sold, resulting in higher margins soon after installation.”
